My Top 10 Tips to Managing your Stress and Anxiety!

~ Welcome to The Anxiety Wellness Queen ~

My name is Amanda, and I am The Anxiety Wellness Queen! I am very passionate about mental health and reducing the stigma surrounding it.

I started The Anxiety Wellness Queen because I wanted to introduce a different way of learning and understanding towards mental health, in particular Anxiety.

Through my practice over the years I found I was drawn more and more to working with those who experience STRESS and ANXIETY. It has become so prevalent over the years and it is very unfortunate that their is not enough support out there for sufferers such as yourself! Anxiety is so individual and that is how it should be treated, because everyone has a story!

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is one of the most common Mental Health conditions experienced in Australia and America today!

According to the APS (Australian Psychological Society) anxiety is referred to as ‘feelings of worry, nervousness or a sense of apprehension’. We all experience anxiety at some point in our lives and it is a perfectly normal reaction to have to a stressful or nerve racking event. Anxiety becomes an issue for many when it essentially begins to take over your life. The feelings become excessive, severe and overwhelming.

Anxiety is often accompanied with symptoms such as:

  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Racing Heart
  • Sweaty Palms
  • Difficulty Concentrating
  • Dry mouth
  • Nauseas
  • Hot and Cold Flushes
  • Tightness in your Chest
  • Excessive/Obsessive Thinking
  • Avoidance of People or Places
  • Negative Thoughts

And the list goes on….

There are many differing reasons as to why you may be experiencing anxiety. Some say Genes play a role and that you may have a genetic predisposition, some say your environment others say it is due to lifestyle, diet and stress management.
